Rev’d Dmitry Lutsenko
Vicar
Dmitry has been with St Mary’s Horsell since February 2021. He is married to Olya and they have two children. Both Dmitry and Olya are Ukrainian born, following God’s call on their lives they moved to the UK in 2003 to study at a Bible School in Exeter. Dmitry’s journey to ordination started in Chineham, Basingstoke, where he worked as a Youth Work Leader after graduating with BA and MA, in Applied Theology (Youth specialisation) at Moorlands College. He did his ordination training at Wycliffe Hall in Oxford, and curacy with Leicester and Coventry Dioceses.
Dmitry likes going for walks, watching films and pottering around the house and garden, there’s always lots to do in and around the vicarage!

Rebecca Connolly
Children and Families Worker
Rebecca is our Children and Families Worker. She studied at University for the Creative Arts, Epsom and has a Foundation in Art and Design. Prior to working at St Mary’s, Rebecca was a Children Ministry Assistant and Youth Intern at Christ Church Woking. Rebecca is passionate about sharing Jesus’ love in our community and world. She is married to the wonderful James and loves going for walks in nature, singing, visiting art galleries and making art!

Mark McMurtrie
Church Warden
Mark has lived in Horsell village for 27 years and worshiped at St Mary’s throughout this time. He was appointed a Church Warden in 2023, having previously served as PCC Vice
Chairman, Deputy Warden, PCC member and Sidesperson for many years. Mark works full
time running a Management Consultancy business. Mark is married to Vanessa who is Editor of Horsell Matters, a member of the PCC and Verger. Vanessa was born in Woking. Mark and Vanessa can often be seen walking around Horsell exercising their golden Labrador Amber. They have a son, a PhD student, now in his twenties, who attended Horsell Schools, was baptised at St Mary’s and when living at home was an active volunteer at St Mary’s.

Brian Sheriff
Church Warden
Brian and his family have lived in the parish for just over twenty years, during which time he and his wife have taken on a number of voluntary roles at St Marys, leading to Brian being elected as a Church Warden in 2021. Brian is grateful for the opportunity to serve our Lord, the parish and community with dedication and humility. He also serves on committees for a number of other Woking organisations.

Roy Wernham
Licensed Lay Minister
Roy is a Licensed Lay Minister with permission to officiate. Roy has served as a Lay Minister for over 40 years, most of that time serving within St Mary’s. When not at church he works part time as a crown servant and as a governor at Woking High School.

Helen Gravette
Parish Administrator
Helen has been the Parish administrator here at Horsell for 16 years. Her office is attached to the Vicarage on Wilson Way. Contact her for any enquiries about church life:- funerals; weddings; baptisms; Church notices. In her spare time Helen is a member of Chobham Rock Choir.

Lesley Templeman
Safeguarding Lead
Lesley has worshipped at St Mary’s since she and her husband Michael moved to Horsell in 1975. She served as a governor at Horsell C of E Junior School for 30 years and as a churchwarden for 6 years.
Lesley has been a member of the PCC for over 20 years and is part of the All Age Worship team.
