PCC Resolution: temporary closure of St Mary the Virgin Church, Horsell for public worship

As a result of the latest dramatic surge in confirmed Coronavirus cases locally, the introduction of a National lockdown and the Government advice to Stay at Home, the PCC wishes to close the church for public worship temporarily with immediate effect.

The Church will still be open on Sundays from 10am to 1pm and Wednesdays from 11am to 4pm for individuals to use for their own private prayer, with the additional extra provision of anti-bacterial wipes for individuals to sanitise surfaces as required.

This will be reviewed at the end of the month in consultation with the new incumbent and the PCCs approval will be sought going forward.

An order of Morning Prayer and monthly Communion services will continue to be distributed through our Church cascade system and be uploaded to the Church website.
