Youth Emmaus
Youth Emmaus is our group for 13-17 year olds. The group meets once a month at 4pm on the 1st Sunday of the month. The aims are simple. We want young people to feel at home in our church, so everything is geared towards making the church ‘their space’. Secondly, we try and set faith in the context of the modern world, so that the young people leave each session with something to think about. It’s a relaxed environment with very open discussion and the best sessions are when the young people set the agenda for us!
Get Involved
There are three ways you could get involved (whoever you are).
1. Pray for Emmaus. Even if you haven’t prayed for years, consider trying now. God delights in hearing from you!
2. Tell people about Emmaus. Personal endorsement is the most compelling form of advertising and you might just change someone’s life (ask them to let you know if that happens).
3. Come join us (young people of all ages). If you are 13-17, why not give it a try? We really are quite friendly! There are young people from most of the local schools and six forms so you might know someone straight away. Equally, we are always looking for people to join the leadership team so if you would be interested in joining our team please get in contact. Experience is not required but you will need to be prepared to be challenged in unexpected ways by these young people – they’re really something special!
