Horsell
has a ring of six bells, with a tenor of 11cwt. Practice night is
on Friday (check before coming because this may be about to change)
and the bells are rung for morning service between 9.15 and 10am.
The
band of ringers is not large, and is actively looking for new recruits.
The Ringing Master, Simon Linford, is a very keen teacher and this
is a good opportunity to learn the Art of Change-ringing in a friendly
and very social environment. This may be of particular interest
to Scouts and Guides looking for additional activities, participants
in the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme, or members of the congregation
wanting to become involved in an interesting aspect of church life.
Everyone is welcome! If you are interested in coming along please
contact the Tower Captain, Lynda Coles.
