Alison's Ordination as Deacon took place at Guildford Cathedral on 29th June 2008.

Ever since I was a small child I have been conscious of the existence of a God who loved me. As I grew up so did my faith, aided by some very enthusiastic Sunday school teachers!
After leaving school I moved to London and qualified as a general nurse at Westminster Hospital which was a very formative period, seeing life in the raw and having to grow up and take responsibility not only for myself but for others too.
After marriage to my life long friend Steve we went on to have four children, two boys and two girls.
I have been working in the chaplaincy team at my local hospice for the past five years, which is where I became aware of my calling.
